The Asian Sorority Club was set up by our President, Minal.
Originally from the beautiful South Coast of Devon, Minal has lived in many countries and has spent years travelling the world, including 6 months in India. When finally back in the UK, she began a new life in the exciting big and bright city of London.
With a busy work schedule and no time to go out and make new friends she had a lightbulb moment – Wouldn’t it be great to belong to a club where a group of Asian women like herself, could meet, go out, socialise, attend cool events, enjoy the city and spend some spare time raising money for charity. The Asian Sorority Club was born !
The Asian Sorority Club is a modern and vibrant club run by Asian women for Asian women in the UK.
Our mission is for members to make lasting new friendships, have lots of fun and take part in charitable activities.
Members get involved in a wide range of regular activities from nights out and exclusive member-only events from health and beauty masterclasses to personal and career development webinars.
Asian Sorority members enjoy being part of a club with like-minded women and are given the opportunity to raise £10,000 for Hope for Children, for vulnerable children and families from India.
India is a country close to all our members’ hearts and that is why we are aiming to raise at least £10,000 over the next year.
Murielle Maupoint, Hope for Children’s Chief Executive commented “Our partnership with The Asian Sorority Club is very exciting. India is a priority area for us, with 50,000 children living on the streets of Delhi alone, and the support of The Asian Sorority Club members will enable us to carry out more of this critical work”
